1st TAAN Langtang Gosainkunda Half-Marathon on May 29

Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) is organizing 1st TAAN Langtang-Gosainkunda Half Marathon 2016' on 29th of May on the occasion of its 38th Establishment Day. The event is being organized to disseminate the message that Langtang-Gosainkunda region, which was hit hard by the earthquakes of 2015, has bounced back and now receiving tourists as usual. The race will begin from the sacred Gosainkunda Lake and goes downhill through Lauribina, Cholangpati, Chandanbari and Deurali before concluding at Dhunche – the district headquarters of Rasuwa. TAAN participates in Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Manaslu, Lhotse

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation together with different travel trade associations, including Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), organized series of programs on April 30 as part of the Mt Manaslu and Mt Lhotse Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The celebrations began with a colorful procession that began from Khullamanch and went through Kantipath, Thamel, Sorakhutte and Lainchour before concluding at the Narayanhiti Palace Museum premises. Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) participated in the 21st Wildlife Conservation Week and 4th Langtang Tourism and Conservation Festival that concluded in Dhunche of Rasuwa on April 19. A team of Trekking Agencies'' Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association Pokhara has explored a new trekking trail that starts from Kushma of Parbat and ends at Baskharka of Myagdi district. A 17-member team led by Narayan Sapkota, former president of TAAN Pokhara, started the exploration with a drive to Kushma from Pokhara.
