Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) has been organizing TAAN Joint Lhosar Cultural Program as a calendar event to celebrate New Year festival of different ethnic groups living in mountain and hill areas of the country as well as to preserve Nepalese culture. This year TAAN is organizing TAAN Joint Lhosar Cultural Program in Lainchaur banquet, Kathmandu on February 7, 2019.
As every year, this year too TAAN is organizing the event to promote Lhosar as an integral part of Nepalese tourism. TAAN has taken initiation to promote cultural tourism of Nepal. The event will support Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign by promoting Lhosar as cultural tourism product in national and international arena. The event will not only promote the festival but also play a vital role in enhancing brotherhood and camaraderie among member companies.
Cultural performance of different ethnic groups, mainly Gurung, Tamang, Sherpa and Hyolmo, stage act of comedians, musical performances by various popular singers, DJ Sessions, dinner program and door prizes will be the major attractions of the event.
The event is expected to see participation of high-ranking government officials, diplomats, representatives of different travel trade entrepreneurs, tourism entrepreneurs, and journalists, among others.
The coordinator of the event Ms. Ritu Gyamdan along with TAAN Executive Committee has already started the preparation to make the event a huge success. Tickets worth Rs.1,699 are being distributed at TAAN Secretariat, Maligaun and TIMS counter at Satghumti, Thamel.
