TAAN Appoints New C.E.O.

Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bikram Thapa Magar to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately from December 6, 2018.

After a month of search and selection process, Thapa Magar was among three finalists who sat with TAAN Staff Selection Committee and senior leadership, for formal and informal interviews. The Board made its final selection on November 25, 2018.

Mr. Thapa Magar has completed his Msc on field of Hospitality and Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK Education Board.

Welcoming the new C.E.O. TAAN President Nava Raj Dahal said – “We hope the organization will benefit greatly from his executive management skills, and his demonstrated commitment to promote and uplift Nepal’s tourism particularly trekking and serve the stakeholders.”

TAAN General Secretary Mr. Ang Pemba Sherpa congratulated new C.E.O. and wished him for his successful tenure in office.

Mr. Thapa Magar commented, “I am very pleased to be joining TAAN and look forward to driving the development and execution of our corporate strategy going forward. In addition to the organization's core goal, I intend to devote significant time and effort to pursue targeted goals of organization.”
