Nepal Mountaineering Association of Nepal (NMA) has organized a congratulatory program in honor of newly elected executive members of TAAN, PATA-NEPAL, NARA & Nepal Magar Tourism Society on December 19, 2017.
NMA General Secretary Kul Bhadur Gurung conducted the program and welcomed everyone present in the program.
NMA Secretary Tika Ram Adhikari welcomed and congratulated all the newly elected executive members of TAAN, PATA-NEPAL, NARA & Nepal Magar Tourism Society. He said that all the four associations along with NMA having similar agendas and purpose aspires to work together to enact the common objectives and missions. With an ambition to work in sync, this program has been organized. He added.
TAAN newly elected team with President Nava Raj Dahal were felicitated by NMA President Santa Bir Lama and the team. Similarly, PATA- Nepal President Sunil Shakya and team, NARA President Nim Bahadur Magar and team & Nepal Magar Tourism Society President and team were also felicitated by NMA President Lama.
Nepal Magar Society 1st Vice President said that the organization’s main ambition is to help develop, expand and promote a healthy tourism through cooperation and also explore newer-and-newer Magar settlements and other avenues, potential for tourism destinations across Nepal and develop as a model tourism destination through exploring, conserving, developing and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Magar indigenous communities in Nepal.
NARA President Nim Bahadur Magar thanked NMA for such a humble felicitation. He said “all the tourism associations must come together and work in order to achieve common goals for uplifting Nepalese tourism. We all are associated with tourism as in trekking, water, mountains and so on. Hence, we all as a team must go ahead for the development and promotion of Nepalese tourism.”
PATA Nepal Chapter President Sunil Shakya acknowledged NMA for applause. He said “our vision is to bring 500 million tourists in Nepal. It is our goal to achieve sustainable development for the prosperity of Nepalese economy.” He also requested all the tourism associations to make National Campaign to bring 500 million tourists a success.
TAAN President Nava Raj Dahal thanked NMA for their cordial gesture. He said “all the tourism associations must go hand in hand as there are many problems in the tourism industry. It will be easier to get a solution and work on it if all the associations work conjointly.” He also hoped support from NMA for the construction of Porter Shelter at Dharmashala. At last, he congratulated all the newly elected executive members of PATA-Nepal, NARA and Nepal Magar Tourism Society.
Concluding the program NMA President Santa Bir Lama congratulated all the newly elected executive committee and wished for their successful tenure in the organization. He requested all the leaders of the associations to get Nepalese tourism on the top. Tourism industry plays a significant role for the development of national economy. Our objective must not persist only for the two years of tenure in the organization but must remain same in future as well. He added.
