TAAN hosts luncheon for Chinese delegates

Trekking Agencies’
Association of Nepal (TAAN) on December 12 hosted a luncheon in honor of the
members of Nepal-Tibet Joint Tourism Coordination Committee.
A seven-member Tibetan
delegation is presently in Kathmandu to participate in the Nepal-Tibet Joint
Tourism Coordination Committee. The
committee holds its meeting every year in Nepal and Tibet alternatively.
Ramesh Prasad Dhamala,
president of TAAN, welcomed the delegates by offering them khadas and tokens of
love.
The Tibetan delegation
is led by Wang Weijie, vice secretary general of People’s Government of Tibet
Autonomous Region of China. The delegation also has Dawa Yu, director general
of Tibet Tourism Administration; Ta Erga, deputy director of Foreign Affairs
Office of Tibet; Suonan Cuomu, deputy director of Sport Bureau of Tibet Autonomous
Region; Wen Yonghai, Head of Entry and Exit Administration -- Public Security
Department of Tibet; Jimi Duoji, deputy
chief of promoting and cooperation division, Tibet; and Yang Zhen of Tibet
Tourist Corporation.
Nepali members in the
committee, representatives of different travel trade associations, TAAN office-bearers and
executive members, former presidents of TAAN and leading entrepreneurs operating
trips in Tibet were also present on the occasion.
