TAAN publishes election program

The
Election Committee of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has
published the program for election for the new executive committee of the
association.
TAAN
is holding election for the new executive committee during the 35th
AGM of the association to be held in Kathmandu on September 20.
According
to a notice published by Election Officer Tulsi Bhattai, TAAN will hold
election for 17 posts, including president, senior vice president, 1st
vice president, 2nd vice president, general secretary, secretary,
treasurer and joint-treasurer.
The
committee will publish voters’ list at 1 am on September 11. According to the
program, complaints can be made on voters’ list between 1-5 pm on September
12. The final voters’ list will be
published after 5 pm.
Application
for candidacy will have to be filed between 1-4 pm on September 13. Candidates
will need to pay a fee of Rs 5,000, which is non-refundable, along with their
application. The list of candidates will be published at 4:30 pm on September
13. Complaints can be filed against the candidates between 4:30-5:30 pm on the
same day. The election will look into the complaints and publish second list of
candidates at 6 pm on September 13.
Candidates
can withdraw their nominations between 1-4 pm on September 14. The election
committee will then publish final list of candidates at 4:30 pm on the same
day.
