The visiting tourists, tour operators and journalists from different parts of the world have found Nepal a safe tourist destination as well as a suitable venue for tourism-related activities.

A group of Canadian and American visitors said that they did not face any problem during their visit to Nepal. They blamed the international media for spreading rumours about Nepal without assessing the ground realities.

According to them, they have found that the situation in Nepal is somewhat different from what the foreign media has been portraying.

Similarly, a team of Bangladeshi journalists, which is on a familiarization trip to Nepal, said that Nepal is a safe and attractive destination for tourists.

They expressed the view while sharing their experience at a gathering organized by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in the capital on Sunday.

The familiarization tours were organized by NTB in order to familiarize them with the real situation of the country and the tourism products.
